2022 Nissan Armada- Choosing The Right Trim

Big families need big vehicles, and Nissan’s full-size, 3-row SUV is fit for the job. The Armada is Nissan’s largest and most capable vehicle, while still remaining a value choice to competitors. Boasting a standard V8 engine and an old-school body-on-frame architecture, the Armada offers best-in-class features without breaking the bank.

For its 2021 rendition, the SUV was refreshed with technology upgrades, exterior styling tweaks, and a healthy boost in horsepower and torque. For 2022, the Armada remains largely unchanged.

The 2022 Nissan Armada is available in four trims – S, SV, SL, and Platinum – along with 2WD and 4WD configurations.

2022 Armada Pricing and Packages

The 2022 Armada pricing is listed below, including a $1,495 destination fee. Rear-wheel drive is standard in each trim, and four-wheel drive is optional for an additional $3,000.

  • S: $50,395
  • SV: $53,995
  • SL: $57,395
  • Platinum: $66,395

Three packages are offered: Appearance (SV) at $2,500, Midnight Edition (SL) at $1,990, and Captain’s Chairs (SL, Platinum) at $650.

2022 Nissan Armada S

The base model Armada S gives drivers a good bang for their buck. Voted the Lowest 5-Year Cost to Own SUV in 2021 by Kelley Blue Book, the Armada is a good entry into the full-size SUV market without sacrificing budget. It also shares key similarities with the luxe Infiniti QX80, which is built on the same platform and shares the same parent company. For example, the two vehicles both come standard with a 400-horsepower V8 engine, share similar cargo volumes, and a comparable list of safety features. The main difference – the Armada’s starting price is over $20k less than the QX80.

Starting at an attractive MSRP of $50,395 (including destination fee), the Armada beats out competitors like the Ford Expedition and Chevrolet Tahoe in both price and value. Some key features include its 12.3-inch touchscreen, 18-inch alloy wheels with a full-size spare, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Exterior colors are limited to silver, black, and gray.

The base model Nissan Armada S includes:

  • 18-inch alloy wheels with a full-size spare as a backup
  • 12.3-inch touchscreen (largest standard in its class)
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • 10-way power-adjustable seating
  • Keyless start
  • Wireless Apple Carplay
